The 2nd GBA Chinese-Japanese Enterprises High-quality Development Exchange Conference is held in Shenzhen Dr. Choi: Promoting the prosperity of China and Japan in the GBA

On March 18, the 2nd GBA Chinese-Japanese Enterprises High-quality Development Exchange Conference was held at Kerry Center in Qianhai, Shenzhen. Co-sponsored by the GBA Entrepreneurs Union and the Consulate General of Japan in Guangzhou, the conference attracted more than 100 Japanese entrepreneurs and more than 200 Chinese and Hong Kong entrepreneurs from the GBA to attend the exchange, and more than 10,000 people watched the conference through live streaming.



Dr. Jonathan Choi, Standing Committee Member of CPPCC, Chairman of the GBA Entrepreneurs Union and Sunwah Group, pointed out that the the Guangdong-HK-Macao Greater Bay Area has become a demonstration zone, innovation zone and leading place for high-quality development of China, and it is also one of the regions with the highest concentration of Japanese enterprises, the largest amount of investment and the highest scientific and technological content in China.


Mr. Zhang Jinzhou, Deputy Secretary-General of Shenzhen Municipal Government, Mr. Yoshiko Kishima, Consul General of Japan in Guangzhou, and Mr. Cui Shuang, Vice President of the CCPIT Guangdong Committee, addressed the meeting. Mr. Yu Yusheng, Chairman of Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Bureau, delivered a video speech.



Professor Tomo Marukawa, Institute of Social Sciences, University of Tokyo, delivered an academic report on "Opportunities and Challenges for the development of the GBA: A Comparison with Tokyo Bay". Seven business representatives from China and Japan held a dialogue on "Cooperation Opportunities between the GBA and the Tokyo Bay Area".
