The 4th Guangdong-HK-Macao Greater Bay Area Outstanding Young Entrepreneurs Award Mr. John Lee, Chief Executive of HKSAR,speaks in recognition of the work of the Union.

The Sixth anniversary of the Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area(GBA) Entrepreneurs Union and the Fourth GBA Outstanding Young Entrepreneurs(OYE) Award Ceremony were held simultaneously in Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Macao on September 27th.100 OYEs were selected.Mr. John Lee, Chief Executive of HKSAR, has spoken highly of the work of the GBA Entrepreneur Union since its establishment in 2017. He pointed out: "The Union has been promoting exchanges and cooperation between Guangdong, HK and Macao enterprises, and promoting scientific and technological innovation, youth entrepreneurship, public welfare and charity work. The Union also actively provides guidance and support to young people who plan to develop in the GBA, and help them to develop their ambitions. I hope the Union will continue to build on its past achievements and create new achievements."

Mr. Zhang Xin, Vice Governor of Guangdong Province, Mr.Li Weinong, Secretary for Economy and Finance of Macao SAR, Dr. Jonathan Choi, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC and the Chairman of the GBA Entrepreneurs Union,and Li Ling, Deputy Director of the Coordination Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government of Hong Kong, attended the grand award ceremony with more than 3,000 people online and offline.

In the speech, Dr. Jonathan Choi, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC and the Chairman of the GBA Entrepreneurs Union, pointed out that in the six years since the Union was established, three years have been spent in the COVID-19 epidemic, and the world, China, and even every enterprise and individual have undergone severe tests. However, despite the storm, the development of the GBA has not shifted its course. The economy and people's livelihood of the GBA are still thriving, and various hard connectivity facilities have been completed and put into operation. Soft connectivity, such as people flow, logistics and capital flow docking, has also become increasingly convenient, and the one-hour life circle of the GBA is presented in front of our eyes.

He stressed: "Today is the first time we can hold the awards ceremony in all three venues without wearing masks. The 100 young entrepreneurs who have made outstanding contributions to the construction of the GBA were selected from more than 1,300 peers by a number of universities and celebrities. We congratulate the young entrepreneurs. I hope you will not forget your original intention and forge ahead!"

On the same day, the Legal Committee of the GBA Entrepreneur Union was solemnly established in Hong Kong. Mr. John Lee, Chief Executive,presented a certificate of appointment to Mrs. Janice Choi,the Chairman of the Committee, former President of the Hong Kong Women Lawyers Association and Legal adviser of Sunwah Group.
