2025 Asean-Middle East Economic and Trade Matchmaking Conference with Baoshan Entrepreneurs is Held in Shanghai

On April 19, Dr. Jonathan Choi, Standing Committee Member of CPPCC, led representatives from the Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, and UAE chapters to attend the “2025 Asean-Middle East Economic and Trade Matchmaking Conference with Baoshan Entrepreneurs” in Shanghai. Dr. Choi stated that the GBA Entrepreneurs Alliance will actively support Baoshan District in forging closer economic and trade ties with ASEAN and Middle East countries, assist enterprises in connecting with ASEAN and Middle East markets, and explore cross-border opportunities.

On April 9, 2025, Dr. Jonathan Choi, the Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance, led a delegation to attend the 14th UAE International Investment Summit (AIM Congress) and delivered a speech at the 'Invest in the Greater Bay' thematic event. More than 200 representatives from the Chinese Embassy in the UAE, the Arab League, and European and Middle East business communities attended the meeting.

The Artificial Intelligence Committee of the Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance was established in Hong Kong on March 31. Mr. John Lee, Chief Executive of HKSAR, expressed his hope that the Committee would enable enterprises to better seize the opportunities brought by artificial intelligence (AI) development, injecting new momentum into the economic growth of the nation and Hong Kong.

The Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) 2025 Annual Conference was held from March 25 to 28, 2025 in Boao, Hainan, China. Dr. Jonathan Choi, Standing Committee Member of CPPCC, Chairman of the Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance, the Bohai Rim Entrepreneurs Alliance, and Sunwah Group, was invited to attend the conference. During the event, he delivered a speech at the Roundtable for Overseas Chinese Business Leaders and Think Tanks.
