Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance Establishes AI Committee

The Artificial Intelligence Committee of the Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance was established in Hong Kong on March 31. Mr. John Lee, Chief Executive of HKSAR, expressed his hope that the Committee would enable enterprises to better seize the opportunities brought by artificial intelligence (AI) development, injecting new momentum into the economic growth of the nation and Hong Kong.

The Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) 2025 Annual Conference was held from March 25 to 28, 2025 in Boao, Hainan, China. Dr. Jonathan Choi, Standing Committee Member of CPPCC, Chairman of the Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance, the Bohai Rim Entrepreneurs Alliance, and Sunwah Group, was invited to attend the conference. During the event, he delivered a speech at the Roundtable for Overseas Chinese Business Leaders and Think Tanks.

From March 25 to 27, during the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2025, Mr. Feng Fei, Secretary of the Hainan Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee, along with other provincial and municipal leaders, met with Dr. Jonathan Choi, Standing Committee Member of CPPCC, Chairman of the Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance, the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, the Bohai Rim Entrepreneurs Alliance and Sunwah Group.They exchanged views on deepening cooperation between the Hainan Free Trade Port and the Greater Bay Area.

On March 24, Mr. Shang Kui, Chongqing Municipal Standing Committee Member and President of Chongqing Overseas Friendship Association, led a delegation to visit the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce (Hong Kong). On March 20, Dr. Jonathan Choi, Standing Committee Member of CPPCC, Chairman of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, GBA Entrepreneurs Alliance, the Bohai Rim Entrepreneurs Alliance and Sunwah Group, warmly received Mr. Xu Qin, Secretary of the Party Committee of Heilongjiang Province and Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, with the delegation. They held in-depth discussions on various aspects of Heilongjiang-HK cooperation, including the ice and snow economy, artificial intelligence, green food industries, cultural exchanges, and enterprises going global.
